The Batman 2, Will Colin Farrell Also Return? Actor’s Response
Now that Matt Reeves’ The Batman Part 2 has been officially confirmed by James Gunn and Peter Safran as part of the DC Elseworlds label, fans have started wondering which characters will return from the first episode.
High on the list of requests is certainly Colin Farrell’s Penguin, who will also have the honor of having his story expanded into The Batman ‘s first ‘true sequel’, the spin-off series The Penguin, which will be set around a week after the events of the 2022 film and which will follow the rise to power of Carmine Falcone’s former stooge. During a recent interview, the Irish actor expressed his desire to reprise his role as Penguin in The Batman 2 as well, declaring: ” I would love to be in The Batman 2 too. I loved working with Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson, I think they did an amazing job on that movie .”
During another interview with Variety, after all, Colin Farrell had anticipated that the events of The Penguin will lead directly to those of The Batman 2, therefore seeing Oswald Cobblepot back at work, and presumably in a new guise after the events of its spin-off series will not be unlikely.
