Shazam! 2, the Director Praises Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu: “a Dream to Work With Them!”
In the latest trailer for Shazam! Fury of the Gods, a sequel directed by David F. Sandberg, also appears with some new entries of the caliber of Rachel Zegler, Helen Mirren, and Lucy Liu. Interviewed by Entertainment Weekly, Sandberg spent beautiful words towards Mirren and Liu, who enrich the cast of the second chapter.
“It was a dream to work with them. We aimed high when we pitched the film and we got exactly what we wanted. They’re both so badass. You kind of expect like, ‘Oh, it’s Dame Helen coming on the set!’. But the first day she came in she was like, ‘Yeah! We need more power on set! Now we’re here!’. And I was like, ‘Oh, okay!'” the director said. Shazam! Fury of the Gods (Fury of the Gods) is the sequel to Shazam! and will see the return of Billy Batson with his adoptive brothers Freddy, Mary, Pedro, Eugene, and Darla, all with superpowers, who will be forced to face the three daughters of Atlas: Hespera, Kalypso and Anthea.
