After season 8: “The Blacklist” star gets out
Season 8 of the popular crime series “The Blacklist” is currently running in the USA. It has now been announced that all fans will have to say goodbye to another main character in the season finale.
Beware, spoilers for season 8 of “The Blacklist”!
Had it emerged? Rather not. And yet the decision to part with important main characters after the upcoming season 8 finale fits perfectly into the picture. As Deadline first reported, Megan Boone will leave the series after the end of the current season. Accordingly, all fans of ” The Blacklist ” from season 9 onwards have to do without Elizabeth Keen. The executive studio NBC has not yet given a reason for their exit.

One thing is certain, however: Without quick-witted arguments and the one truthLiz will certainly not be saying goodbye. In the season finale, the mysterious relationship between her and Raymond Reddington should finally be revealed. Accordingly, the producers of the series around showrunner Jon Bokenkamp are currently preparing Megan Boone’s final story arc with great care. Since the creators, according to new information, already knew before the production of season 8 that Boone would say goodbye, all fans of the series can certainly expect a successful finale. Hopefully, she survives the season and just decides to retire with her daughter.
With the departure of Megan Boone, the field of “The Blacklist” primeval rocks is getting smaller again. Only James Spader (Red), Diego Klattenhoff(Donald Ressler), and Harry Lennix (Harold Cooper) are still there when the successful crime series starts in season 9. What will happen to Aram Mojtabai, played by Amir Arison, is still unclear – but he is currently no longer listed as part of the cast. The biggest shock to date was the departure of fan-favorite Ryan Eggold, who as Tom Keen died a more than surprising serial death at an early age.
The final episode will be broadcast in the USA on June 23rd. When and where the eighth season will first be broadcast in this country is still unclear. Most recently, Netflix switched surprisingly quickly and added the previous season to the streaming range shortly after the US release. Fingers crossed!
