Scream 6, the Duration of the Film Revealed: Will It Be the Longest of the Franchise?

Scream 6 will in its way be a historical chapter within the long-running horror film saga created by Wes Craven in the 90s. The plot will move from the small town of Woodsboro to New York City for the first time. Ghostface will appear in the Big Apple but how long will this new episode of Scream last?

According to the Regal website, the new sequel should be the longest of the franchise. Scream 6 will last 123 minutes, which is 2 hours and 3 minutes of terror.

Barring denials, Scream 6 will exceed the record set so far by Scream 2 by a few minutes; the first sequel of the franchise records an exact duration of 2 hours.

The playing time of the other films is slightly lower: Scream 3 and Scream 5 last 1 hour and 54 minutes while Scream and Scream 4 last 1 hour and 51 minutes.

Scream 6 will be directed again by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, with the return of the ambiguous character of Melissa Barrera, alongside the star of Wednesday Jenna Ortega and Courteney Cox, historical interpreter of the franchise in the role of reporter Gale Weathers.
