Resident Evil Death Island, Announced With a Trailer the Film With Leon, Chris, and Jill!

After the cancellation of Netflix’s Resident Evil and the not-too-exciting result of the new live-action film Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, the film saga based on the famous video game tries again with a new CGI feature film, Resident Evil Death Island.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has just announced that the new Resident Evil film will be released in the summer of 2023, and a first teaser trailer was also released on the occasion of the presentation: the movie, which as usual you can enjoy inside the article, shows the return of Leon Kennedy on a mission to save Dr. Antonio Taylor, while the other famous protagonist of the saga Chris Redfield is investigating an epidemic in San Francisco. Their respective investigations will lead them to the island of Alcatraz, a setting that explains the title of the film. The teaser also ends with a scene of Jill Valentine busy at the shooting range, confirming the presence of the trio of protagonists.

Assassin Classroom: Graduation director Eiichiro Hasumi directed Resident Evil: Death Island, while Psycho-Pass screenwriter Makoto Fukami penned the story. According to what was revealed by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Death Island is also a sequel to Resident Evil: Vendetta, the 2017 film.
