Martinez failed with Belgium in the preliminary round

Martinez himself was until recently the coach of the Belgian national team, his time also ended after six years because of the Red Devils’ surprising preliminary-round elimination in Qatar.

Martínez coached Belgium in 79 games of which he won 56. He previously spent three years on the touchline at Everton in the Premier League.
