No Justice League 2 insight according to Zack Snyder
The decision could be overturned in a second if the “new” Justice League drastically corrects the situation and allows the DC film to become a masterpiece of the genre, critically acclaimed and adored by audiences. We’re not there yet. And in an interview on ComicBook Debate, Zack Snyder explains that he has no plans to develop a Justice League sequel after the highly anticipated release of his Director’s cut on HBO Max in the coming weeks:
“ I never thought I could make this movie and finish Justice League. The truth is, it’s an old movie. It’s an old movie that I’ve been working on for several years. The DC Universe is gone in. full of directions since then, he’s branched out, he’s gone his own way, and that’s great. As far as I’m concerned, I have my vision, I know what I wanted to do with these characters. the world knows that originally I had planned more movies, five movies or something with it. But I’m very busy today. A lot has happened since … So is it cool that the fans have so much faith in my vision and the trajectory of the new Justice League? Yes, of course, it’s great! I am delighted. But would I continue? Would I do a sequel after that? I don’t intend to. ”
The filmmaker will indeed be very taken in the coming months by Netflix and the Army of the Dead saga, declined in series and a new film. But then? Snyder doesn’t completely close the door on a Justice League 2: ” I didn’t think I could ever make this version of Justice League, so who knows?” If his Director’s Cut is a hit, there is no doubt that Warner will find arguments to change his mind.
