Michael Bay Will Direct His First Bounty Hunter Action Series
An idea that was inspired by an agent/surfer in Costa Rica.
The king of the action film tries out the series. After Ambulance (photo), Michael Bay is currently developing his first series for Prime Video, with screenwriter Joe Barton, who will be the creator.
Directed by Michael Bay, it will center on an American bounty hunter working south of the border who finds himself in a desperate fight for survival when the man he’s pursuing gets them both in trouble with a Mexican cartel.
“ I have inspired about 5 years ago while hanging out in Costa Rica, by a former US federal agent, who surfs every day, living the good life. He manages to manage his fun and relaxed lifestyle in Costa Rica by tracking down the “Bad Gringos” hidden in South America”, Michale Bay tells Deadline to discuss the origins of the project.
The as-yet-untitled series does not yet have a filming date or cast.
