Mathys Tel switched to FC Bayern Munich
Mathys Tel is playing his first season at FC Bayern Munich, but can imagine staying with the record champions for “a very, very long time”.
Last summer, 17-year-old Mathys Tel switched to FC Bayern Munich.
The teenager’s contract runs until 2025. During the season he has made 12 competitive appearances, scoring four goals. The Frenchman has already settled into the team well.
“I’ve learned how to deal with the pressure – and most importantly, my teammates help me. Together we are strong, together we can achieve a lot,” says the striker.

“I worked a lot on myself”
The Frenchman can imagine staying in Munich for a “very, very long time”. That was the youngster’s answer to a question at the “Arena of Change”,
which took place for the second time on the Bayern Campus. The club magazine 51 reported on his visit to the educational event for young children.
Tel knows that he has to keep working on himself in order to assert himself at Bayern – but he is not afraid: “I’ve had that in me since my childhood.”
Above all, Tel thanks his family: “They have always found a way to support me so that I can live my dream.”
