Liev Schreiber: Wistful and proud of the “Ray Donovan” set
The charismatic Hollywood bloodhound Ray Donovan is expected to return next year. Now lead actor Liev Schreiber reported from the set.
Liev Schreiber now presented us with a first snapshot of the set via social media, which he commented on with one laughing and one crying eye. “I will miss this very specific group of people in particular,” said the 53-year-old. Schreiber himself seems visibly taken and emotionally moved in the photo – does the snapshot mean the end of the shooting?
Really not much is known about the planned “Ray Donovan” film so far. The only thing that is certain is that showrunner David Hollander has both directed and written the script together with Liev Schreiber. Meanwhile, several old acquaintances join the cast around Jon Voight alias Mickey Donovan, Eddie Marsan alias Terry Donovan, Kerris Dorseyaka Bridget Donovan, and Dash Mihok aka Bunchy Donovan back. Judging by the photo, Pooch Hall alias Daryll is also there again. The aim should be to prepare an appropriate finale for all fans as well as the actors. What the film will plow in terms of content is still unclear.
While “Ray Donovan” (also the working title) will be distributed in the USA exclusively via Paramount +, a German release is still on the brink. It would be conceivable that the film would either appear in the cinema or be assigned to the streaming competitor with the highest bidding.
