Haunted Mansion, Release Date Changes Again (This Time for the Better)

When the release date of a film is changed, viewers already imagine a slow, spasmodic wait that lasts for very long months; but that’s certainly not the case with The Haunted Mansion, which will debut two weeks early.

Originally set for March 10, 2023, then mid-August, Disney’s live-action remake will now hit theaters on July 28, 2023. The story is about a doctor (Rosario Dawson) and her 9-year-old son (Chase Dillon) who start a new life in New Orleans. However, the strangely cheap mansion in which they reside hides more than a surprise … Seeking help, the two contact the town priest (Owen Wilson), who, in turn, speaks to a paranormal scientist ( LaKeith Stanfield), a psychic (Tiffany Haddish) and a character that is anything but calm (Danny De Vito). Furthermore, the surprises do not end here: other clues are suggested to us by the Haunted Mansion trailer, which reveals the presence of Winona Ryder in the cast.

So declared Jamie Lee Curtis, interpreter of Madame Leota: ” I think we have found the right balance between fright, fun, and adventure. You know, it’s a bit like cooking. I barely cook, I try to do it all the time, considering the right ingredients, the mix, and the timing, but how do you tell if something delicious is going to come out? Still, from what I’ve seen and heard, I’m sure director Justin Simien has crafted something delicious .”
