A good three weeks before his 80th birthday, the former German national soccer player Hans Rebele died.
A good three weeks before his 80th birthday, the former German national soccer player Rebele died. This was announced by his long-standing club, TSV 1860 Munich, on Thursday. The offensive player had undergone open-heart surgery after a heart attack.

The Bundesliga season 1965/66.
Rebele belonged to the champion team of the lions from the Bundesliga season 1965/66. A year earlier he was with the “Blues” in London in the final of the European Cup Winners’ Cup (0-2 against West Ham United).
Between 1963 and 1969, the trained banker played 115 Bundesliga games for the Sixties, scoring 23 goals. His career ended from 1972 to 1975 at FC Wacker Innsbruck in Austria.
