Filming for Sonic 2 has officially started
The director posted the first photo on social networks.
With revenues of $ 319 million worldwide, the live-action film Sonic, adapted from the famous Sega video games, has met with unhoped-for success. It was before the pandemic, of course, but the family feature film still won the right to afford a sequel. Jeff Fowler, who directed the first installment, will direct Sonic 2, which has just started filming, as he announced via Twitter.

This second part will not have a specific title and will simply be called Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (in the original version). In the vocal cast, Ben Schwartz will reprise the role of Sonic while Jim Carrey will return to play Dr. Robotnik, James Marsden will be Tom Wachowski and Tika Sumpter will be Maddie Wachowski. No release date for the moment.
