Fantastic 4, It’s Official: Filming Will Begin in 2024!
After he departed from Star Trek 4, it was clear to the world that the director was moving ever closer to directing the Fantastic Four reboot.
” It’s been a great experience working on ‘Star Trek’ for a little over a year, working closely with JJ Abrams and everyone at Paramount, I love the franchise, and I love the cast that JJ has created, and it would be It has been an immense pleasure to work together with them on a fourth installment,” said the director for TheWrap.
The director goes on to say that “Each film has its path and timeline, which can be fickle, and so as much as the ‘Fantastic 4’ opportunity, it was too difficult to pass up, and go back to Marvel, where I worked on ‘ WandaVision‘, with my amazing collaborators”.
“It’s like family there, so coming back and tackling something that I love, and something similar in many ways. They were both launched in the 60s and at the same time, they both deal with optimism and stargazing, and technology and how they solve everything. Both are about family – the family you have, the family you build. It’s full of parallels, and they touch my heart equally, so I’m very excited to be working on ‘The Fantastic 4′” continued Matt Shakman.
