Detective Pikachu, the Sequel is Still in Development! The Details

According to what transpires from a representative of Legendary Entertainment, taken up by the American media, the sequel to Pokémon: Detective Pikachu is still ‘in active development’. After the good response to the first film of 2019, directed by Rob Letterman, the production is still thinking about working on a sequel for the big screen.

There’s no further news on the project but Legendary still seems excited to bring the sequel to fruition.

The confirmation of the sequel to Detective Pikachu had arrived well before the first film was released in theaters but in addition to Legendary, there was also talk of a possible Netflix reboot that could better connect with their TV series.
In any case, it seems that the conclusion is still on the high seas and it could be some time before we see the sequel to the 2019 film on the big screen. Already in 2021, the sequel to Detective Pikachu seemed at risk.
