DC Universe: Tons of Announcements, but Who’s Left Out?

As you well know, a few days ago Peter Safran and James Gunn unveiled their plans for the first chapter of the DC Universe, which will be titled “Gods and Monsters”. Many announcements, some predictable and some less so, but also several absences. Who was left out?

Over the last few years, Poison Ivy has managed to break into people’s hearts, thanks to her appearances in various video games and especially the animated series dedicated to Harley Quinn, which will continue to be produced and will not be canceled despite the new plans of the DCU. But the character is out for now. What will happen in the future?

Another great absence is certainly that of Nightwing, a mainstay of the comics since his introduction. DC has yet to introduce the character to cinemas, though a film dedicated to him has been in the works for some time with director Chris McKay. Finally, Gunn and Safran kept quiet about the much-talked-about Constantine sequel starring Keanu Reeves. The Matrix actor starred in the Francis Lawrence film in 2005 and the character was the protagonist of numerous never-finished projects over the years, including an attempt by JJ Abrams to bring the Justice League Dark to life which had never seen the light.
