DC Universe, James Gunn Teases The Return Of Steve Agee’s John Economos
DC Studios co-head James Gunn has just teased a huge return: Steve Agee’s John Economos, the actor who participated, among many projects, in The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker.
So wrote Gunn in a post on Twitter: ” Happy birthday to my great friend and collaborator Economo s (whom you will see sooner than you think) “. Two photos follow in which the famous actor of The Griffith Witch Project, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and Modern Family dance in the company of other people. A decidedly short message, but one that still manages to excite fans. And the news doesn’t end there: Steve Agee improvises a Peacemaker scene with John Cena!
For the uninitiated, John Economos is a member of ARGUS and an aide to Amanda Waller (senior US government official and director of ARGUS itself). The character, known for his seriousness and dedication at work, appears in both The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker, and it is not clear in which DC product he will return to participate.
2023 is an incredibly busy year for the DC Universe, considering the release of Shazam! Fury of the Gods (March 17, 2023), The Flash (June 16), Blue Beetle (August 18), Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (December 25), followed by Joker: Folie è deux (October 4, 2024) and especially Peacemaker 2, whose date is still uncertain: according to some rumors, it will probably hit the screen between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024.
