BLACK PANTHER 2 SURPASSES $409 MILLION AT THE US BOX OFFICE!

Fifth week at the top of the American box office for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which has knocked down the wall of 409 million dollars earned in the USA. Globally, the film surpassed 767.8 million 4, moving ever closer to the annual record set by Doctor Strange 2.
Probably the title that will take the scepter away from Ryan Coogler’s film will be Avatar: Running Water which, according to some projections, should reach very high receipts. The second chapter of Black Panther does not come even remotely close to the enormous figures won with the first film, confirming instead a strange and unexpected box office fatigue regarding Marvel films. While they continue to be top grossers, the MCU has taken a decent downturn since the post-pandemic.

While the comparisons between the receipts of Black Adam and Black Panther 2 continue, one can only draw conclusions regarding the earnings of the film. After surpassing Thor Love and Thunder, with the very close release of Avatar 2, there is very little chance for the film to catch up with Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness which will remain the highest-grossing MCU film of 2022. Beyond Spider-Man No Way Home, no phase 4 film has exceeded one billion, however giving a total gross of 5 billion dollars.
Black Panther 2 helped Disney surpass $3 billion in annual receipts in 2022, marking a particularly strong trend in November.
