Aladdin 2, Guy Ritchie Is Preparing The Sequel: The Latest Updates

Disney is intent on making a sequel to the live-action Aladdin, the remake of the famous animated film that hit theaters in 2019.
Directed by Guy Ritchie, the film was met with mixed reviews from critics upon its release, while at the box office, it proved to be a huge success, grossing over $1.054 billion at the worldwide box office against a budget of $183 million. The year following the release of the film, Disney officially announced a sequel and a spin-off dedicated to Prince Anders, played in Aladdin by Billy Magnussen, who will reprise his role in the future film planned for Disney Plus.
On the occasion of the release of his next film “Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre” and after talking about a possible third chapter of Sherlock Holmes, Ritchie confirmed his interest in Aladdin 2, praising Disney for its professionalism and revealing that he has already collected some ideas for the project:
“I would love to. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed that experience. It was a great experience. All of Disney, as you can imagine, is so professional. We’ll wait and see. We’ve been teasing some ideas for a while now, but it would be great to do that, it would be great to go back there.”
